University-Enterprise Collaboration Drives Development! Shandong Qilu University of Technology Visits Shandong Naiweike’s “University-Enterprise Cooperation” Youth Training Base

    2025-09-23
Recently, a delegation of teachers and student representatives from relevant departments of Shandong Qilu University of Technology visited Shandong Naiweike to conduct a special inspection of the “University-Enterprise Cooperation” Youth Training Base. Through on-site visits to the production workshop, corporate exhibition hall, and review of the company’s development history, the two parties held in-depth exchanges on the optimization of heating system valve regulation solutions, technical difficulties in heat exchange station transformation, and corresponding solutions, laying a solid foundation for further deepening university-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation and joint technological research.
On-Site Visit: An Immersive Understanding of the Enterprise’s Technical Strength and Development Foundation
The inspection delegation first entered the core production workshop of Shandong Naiweike, observing the full-process production of products such as electric control valves and heating-specific control valves up close. The workshop director gave a detailed introduction to the operating principles of high-precision processing equipment, product quality inspection standards, as well as the valve sealing structure and low-temperature adaptability design developed for heating scenarios. For example, the valve core material optimized specifically for northern heating systems can maintain stable regulation accuracy in an environment of -20℃ to 80℃, solving the problem of low-temperature jamming in traditional valves. Teachers and students frequently paused to ask questions and discussed the connection details between production processes and practical applications.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the corporate exhibition hall, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of Shandong Naiweike’s technological achievements in the fluid control field through physical products, application case display boards, and dynamic simulation systems. In the exhibition hall, the “intelligent valve regulation suite” for heating systems attracted particular attention: this suite integrates flow sensors, intelligent controllers, and electric actuators, which can collect real-time flow data of heating pipelines and remotely adjust valve opening through an APP. It enables precise temperature control for individual buildings or households, achieving an energy saving of over 12% compared to traditional manual regulation. Staff demonstrated on-site how the system automatically adapts to heating needs at different times through algorithms, intuitively showing the effect of technological implementation.
In the company’s development history exhibition area, through old photos, honorary medals, and a technology iteration timeline, the delegation clearly saw Shandong Naiweike’s development journey—from initially focusing on basic valve production, to gradually deepening its presence in segmented fields such as heating and water treatment, and then to jointly building a youth training base with universities to promote technological innovation. “Since our first participation in a heating pipeline renovation project in 2015, we have now become a core supplier of heating control valves in the region. The technical support from university-enterprise cooperation has played an indispensable role,” said the company’s person in charge.
In-Depth Exchange: Focusing on Technical Pain Points in Heating and Heat Exchange Stations, Jointly Exploring Solutions
After the on-site visit, the two parties held a special technical exchange meeting in the conference room. The Chief Technology Officer of Shandong Naiweike first shared the mainstream solutions for current heating system valve regulation: to address the “near-hot and far-cold” problem in central heating, the company proposed a combined solution of “zoning valves + terminal temperature control valves.” By installing zoning electric control valves in the main pipelines of residential areas and matching them with user-side temperature control valves, combined with AI algorithms for dynamic flow distribution, this solution has been applied in the renovation projects of many old residential areas in Jinan and Qingdao, controlling the heating temperature difference within ±2℃.
Subsequently, teacher and student representatives from Shandong Qilu University of Technology raised questions about the difficulties encountered in heat exchange station transformation during scientific research and practice: “Some old heat exchange stations suffer from secondary network flow imbalance and reduced thermal efficiency due to heat exchanger scaling. How can these problems be solved through valve technology optimization?” In response, the technical team of Shandong Naiweike proposed targeted solutions: first, adopt “self-cleaning valves dedicated to heat exchange stations,” which use turbulence generated by valve core rotation to scour the inner wall of heat exchangers, reducing scaling accumulation and extending the equipment cleaning cycle; second, install “dynamic balance valves” in the secondary network pipelines to automatically offset changes in pipeline resistance, ensuring uniform flow in each building. Tests have shown that this can increase the overall thermal efficiency of heat exchange stations by 8%-10%.
During the exchange, the two parties also reached a preliminary cooperation intention on the “intelligent upgrading of heating valves”: Shandong Qilu University of Technology will leverage its scientific research advantages in the field of control engineering to provide algorithm optimization support for Shandong Naiweike; in turn, Shandong Naiweike will open the training resources of the Youth Training Base to assist the university in conducting heating system simulation experiments and practical teaching on valve commissioning, forming a closed loop of “technological R&D – scenario verification – talent cultivation.”
United for Common Goals: Taking the Youth Training Base as a Link to Jointly Create a Blueprint for Collaborative Development
“This inspection has allowed us to see the close integration of enterprise technology and industrial needs, providing a clear practical direction for university talent cultivation,” said the leading teacher from Shandong Qilu University of Technology. He added that the university will jointly develop a special training course on “Fluid Control in Heating Systems” with Shandong Naiweike in the future, enabling students to enhance their technical application capabilities in real project scenarios.
The person in charge of Shandong Naiweike also emphasized: “The Youth Training Base is not only a platform for talent cultivation but also a ‘bridgehead’ for university-enterprise joint technological research. In the future, we will continue to focus on pain points in the heating and heat exchange fields, carry out joint R&D with Shandong Qilu University of Technology, promote the transformation of more laboratory technologies into practical industrial solutions, and contribute to the green and energy-saving upgrading of the heating industry.”
This inspection activity has not only deepened the mutual understanding between the university and the enterprise but also clarified the key directions for future cooperation. The two parties agreed to regularly carry out technical exchanges, practical training teaching, and joint project research activities. With the “University-Enterprise Cooperation” Youth Training Base as a link, they will jointly cultivate professional talents in the fluid control field and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the industry.
